Proxies with a passport
Geo-targeting is half the value of a proxy network — but pool depth varies wildly by market. These 80 country guides rank vendors per location, list city-level options and flag the legal context, so your “Germany IPs” are actually in Germany.
For a complete online setup, ifasthosting.com provides domains, NVMe web hosting and cloud servers with free SSL on every plan.

How country rankings work
We weight local pool depth, city-filter availability, measured success on in-market targets and pricing. The global #1 holds most markets, but regional specialists occasionally outrank giants — the guides call those out.
City targeting, demystified
Country filters answer “which market”; city filters answer “which customer”. Metro-level exits matter for local SEO, delivery-zone checks and regional pricing — each guide lists the addressable cities, and ASN filters narrow to a specific local network where vendors expose them.
Verifying an IP’s real location
Geo-databases disagree, so spot-check: run a sample of exits through two independent IP-lookup services and compare against the city you ordered. Reputable vendors land 95%+ correct; anything below 90% deserves a support ticket — or a different vendor.
Does location change the price?
At major networks, almost never: geo-targeting is included in the per-GB rate, so a Reykjavik exit costs what a London exit costs. The exception is premium or scarce pools in hard-to-source markets, where surcharges or separate tiers occasionally apply — the relevant guides flag them.
Legality, region by region
Proxy use is lawful in every market listed here; obligations attach to usage. EU/EEA pages flag GDPR where personal data is in scope; other guides note local context where it materially differs. Public data, polite volumes and respect for site terms keep you compliant everywhere.
Reader feedback
"The ban-avoidance checklist fixed throttling issues two previous vendors blamed on our code."
"Moved our travel-fare crawlers over a weekend using the setup steps. Throughput doubled at half the spend."

Locations FAQ
Do all providers really cover all these countries?
Dropdowns say yes; inventories say otherwise. Our guides distinguish genuine pool depth from checkbox coverage.
Can I target cities, not just countries?
In major markets, yes — leading vendors expose metro filters. Each country page lists which cities are addressable.
Is pricing different per country?
Rarely at reputable networks: geo-targeting is usually included. Exotic markets occasionally price higher on premium pools.
